Hi there these are the first images which are always the basic home and some of the surroundings. Tuesday I will have the next update ready. If you look below there is a form you can use to send me links of anything you like on the web.

Design Update:

Hi there I wanted to get you these images before I go any further. I  haven’t worked up any pricing so I don’t have an idea of costs yet. I wanted you to see where I was at and get input on how you feel about what is here. There is a detail that is left out so far I don’t show the utilities near the sidewalk but I can on the next update if you want to see that.

I can also layer the privacy barrier Magnolias with more plants.

In these images I have hidden the A/C units with Hicksii Yews and a small wooden fence to help keep the sound out of the space you want to enjoy. The fence will help to reflect the sound away from the area.

In the images you will see some Little Lime Hydrangea, Hicksii Yews, Liberty Hollies, Dwarf Crape Myrtles, Emerald Arborvitae, Little Gem Magnolias, Green Mountain Boxwoods, and Dwarf  English Boxwoods.

The steps are more baroque than anything else with a wide sweeping last step, columns for decorating, and an iron railing.

Here you can see the patio is made of Pennsylvania Blue Stone which is also on a diagonal to the symmetry of everything else.

In one of our communications you mentioned a pergola so I represented one in the design.

The yard is still open but private, the views we wanted to screen are screened, there is more I can add but I wanted your feedback on what I have done here because it may be just right the way it is. I hope to get some feedback soon.

Patio Dimensions Image:

Hi there the Azaleas in pink are near the patio with the rest against the home being Endless Summer Hydrangea, the pink in the bed between the fireplace and walkway are the dwarf Crape Myrtles. I don’t have a pink Iris to represent a different color in them on the design but I will put some in the estimate for us to swap out blue with pink. I know  you have a lot you are dealing with so just get back with me when you can and I will begin estimating the project you see here.

Update: Images of different looks of the steps.

Hi there the above image represents an all paver look which is actually a little different but this is kind of the look the  most accurate look is of the image we looked at together of the photo of the arbor with the half moon designed steps on our fan page at

This above image is of what it would look like with the stone veneer that is on the grill and a stone cap.

And lastly this view shows brick sides and also with a stone cap. Have a great evening and talk to you soon.

Great, thank you. I will look over all your deigns for ideas and others on the web. I love your ideas for the front.

The most important aspect for me, as you might recall, is a grilling island off of the covered living area. I do not want a pergola. We also discussed seating boulders, perineal areas. I am contemplating a modest fireplace. I think we need to regroup.

    Hi again,

I never mentioned a pergola. Perhaps you have confused me with another client?

Just to review my feedback. I like the green giants, maybe we can use those with magnolias. I like love your screening concept as long as it will block the house across the street from the patio and the house. I love the steps. Pennsylvania Bluestone is very pricey. Perhaps we can find a less expensive alternative. It is reminiscent of the 50s to me and probably not my favorite because of that. I had pavers in Arizona and love those . I would like to use my female sculpture as a focal point if possible. Is the fact that it is nude a problem? Also we discussed the use of a modest fireplace. Keep in mind that maintenance should be kept to a minimum with planting and design. Have a great weekend and I look forward to hearing from you sometime next week.
