Design Update:
The above three images show what the view is from outside of the privacy fence.
The above image shows what the Emerald Arborvitae would look like in a 6′ to 7′ range. They actually get 14′ or so overall in height.
In these images there are many of the plants you already have like the Daylillies, Hostas, and Nandinas.
The small green plants under the tree are the Nandina you already own and Hosta’s behind them. To the right are Hosta’s in the background with Emerald Arbrovitae and a Green Mountain Boxwood.
The yellow plants are the Daylilies you already own as well.
By the Green Mountain Boxwood on the other side of the walkway are Lavender, and Yellow Cannas behind it.
This is the view from the deck looking across the pool, you can see Green Giant Arborvitae as a privacy screen along the fence, Pink Crape Myrtles, Red leaved Japanese Maples in the corners, and tall Skinny Italian Cypress with Maiden Grasses on the sides of them. The fire pit with small patio has been put in a place that makes sense with the layout of your home and property and also serves as a focal point for the back yard.
From this view you can see a large boulder, there are a few in the landscape as you see the images. Since your property is on a slope I represented a small retaining wall around the upper pool area.
From this above view you can see some Hydrangea on the left and Hicksii Yews on the right and left.
In the above image you can see a stump which represents the stump once you remove the Maple tree.
