Good evening, after meeting and discussing your needs in the landscape I used the following ideas as a guide to help plant what you see here. The beds were not to be changed, the view is to be preserved by using lower growing plants, and to create interest with shape, color, and texture.

In the front beds are Sedum Angelina, Blue Star Junipers, Pink Veronica, and Black Diamond Loropetallum.

I did leave the Nandina on the sides since you like the fall and winter color they provide.

Under the Japanese Maple I have put Palace Purple Coral Bells but there are other varieties to look at which would giveĀ  more of a raspberry coloring or even brighter purple.

For a contrast in shapes I have added three Columnar Boxwoods to the two front corners.

Here in the beds along the porch you can see Bobo Hydrangea, and your Victoria Salvia along with a Dwarf Boxwood hedge.

On the right and left of the steps we have the same plants that have been there ( Daffodils, Iris, and Daylily ).

Now at the other end we have the same three Columnar Boxwoods, and to the right of them are Coral Bells mixed in.

When we get to the driveway beds you can see I have added a Green Mountain Boxwood for a contrast in shapes. The Green Mountain Boxwoods grow in a conical shape which will make the space more interesting during all seasons of the year.
