I am beginning on the design shortly. Thank you for your patience I will send updated in email.
Hi there the ideas I was staying with was to add a touch of a tropical nature, keep the yard fairly open for use, and to add privacy.
Here by the pool equipment you can see some plants and they are Blue Muffin Viburnum is the largest plant, an Elephant Ear at the corner, a Green Mountain Boxwood at the pool surface corner and three Lily of the Nile Agapanthus.
As you look out over the yard you will see some privacy plants and those are Green Giant Arborvitae, Cryptomeria, and Columnar European Hornbeam ( the ones that look like columnar trees ). The white flowering plants in a group of three right in front of the Cryptomeria are Gardenias.
Under the trees I put some Rhododendrons, there are other colors to choose from if necessary. I could have added Hostas to this space but wanted to present it this way first.
In the very corner where it is most shaded I put Bright and Tight Cherry Laurels which will take the shade and will be very dense.
The redish flowers are Hibiscus plants.
I left this area open because you said it is likely to become storage for some items.
Here on the corner of the pool is a Horstmans Blue Atlas Cedar with Hibiscus and Lily of the Nile Agapanthus and a large boulder.
Here are some views from above.
Below are a couple of images from outside of the yard looking in.
Lets set up a day and time to talk about the design. Talk to you soon.
